Better Than Unicorns is an immersive production company who is committed to expand human awareness by designing and delivering fantastic virtual reality experiences. We are aiming to connect people in brand new ways using immersive technologies to enhance their sense of presence with the experience.
Recently we expanded our offerings to the mass public by opening our studio doors as a virtual arena for gametime, exercise, education, therapy, and much more. This VR Arena will be a new venture spun off by Better Than Unicorns to give the masses a first hand experience of the potential inside this new medium. The VR Arena is open to the public for them to experience virtual reality while the rest of the Better Than Unicorns production team will continue to work in the studio to create new and fantastic virtual reality experiences.

Better Than Unicorns is seeking up to 8 part-time Interns to assist in and help execute our marketing and growth strategies for several projects including our Production Studio and the VR Arena.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and optimization of all sales and marketing strategies - including campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR with the goal of increasing quality applications for Better Than Unicorns experience.

  • Build brand awareness and influence brand positioning.

  • Growing overall revenue through existing products.

POSITION OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES

Better Than Unicorns is seeking a full-time Director of Marketing to lead and execute our marketing and growth strategies for both the Production Studio and the VR Arena. The candidate should have 3+ years of experience in marketing (with a focus on digital, and a proven track record of creative, diverse, and data-driven strategies for quality & quantity customer acquisition growth.)

The ideal candidate should have experience with, or a deep understanding of, what drives our core customers - adventure seekers, gamers, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and individuals going through life transitions - to jump into the immersive experiences curated and created by Better Than Unicorns. We are looking for someone with management experience to grow and drive our marketing team, and someone who has a love for approaching problems with a creative and growth-oriented mindset.

You love getting in the details to test, analyze, and understand the best strategies for growth.

Advanced knowledge of marketing across digital channels - Facebook, Instagram, Google Adwords, outbound lead generation, and much more - is a must, as is a highly analytical and data-driven approach to testing, measuring, and reporting on our challenges as much as our progress.

We are not looking for just a project manager or growth hacker. We are looking for a pioneer who wants to help us redefine relationships and the way we interact with the world around us (both real and unreal). We need someone who has proven results in working to grow a once in a generation opportunity. Your skills are important, but we expect more. The candidate should have a proven track record selling production services to major brands through the use of creative, diverse, and data-driven strategies for quality--not just quantity--customer acquisition growth.

The ideal candidate has a historically successful track record that is substantial and verifiable. Multiple examples of previous goal-oriented plans should be outlined, as well as specific achievements that required leadership responsibility, utilization of all available resources, overcoming obstacles, and rebounding from mistakes.

We are looking for a team player who loves to set challenging goals and ever-higher standards, keeping the team on a progressive track. We are not looking for just a project manager or growth hacker; we are looking for a pioneer who wants to build and maintain strong, lasting relationships that maximize repeat business and drastically increase client loyalty.


The ideal candidate should have experience with, or a deep understanding of, what drives our core clients--we need someone who has had proven results in working for a fast-paced, rapidly expanding company.
